RESEARCH INTEREST

My research focuses on global health, preventive medicine, population health metrics and evaluation, with particular emphasis on the burden of diseases and attributable burden to risk factors, health inequalities, economic evaluation of health interventions, and the translation of evidence into policy.

My current research at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu increasingly focuses on the intersection of food systems, nutrition and global health, including the role of aquatic foods in healthier and more sustainable food systems. I am also interested in the intersection of climate change and health, and social determinants of health.
