RESEARCH INTEREST
The early stage of my research was related to the ruminant respiratory system. The preliminary study began with a respiratory tract infection in small ruminant where the Mannhelmia heamolytica bacteria caused devastating disease of the animal, especially during and after the monsoon season. A vaccine was then eventually created through my study to control the respiratory tract infection caused by these bacteria. Then, I started exploring marine resources to find suitable materials potentially to be develop as adjuvants and found that by-products from microalgae have suitable materials to be developed as adjuvants. In the meantime, I also found that aquatic waste products such as hydrogels to treat wounds. Now, my focus is on studies related to aquatic animal health and disease with focus on seahorse aquaculture and knowledge transfer program
